Smart Snack Program
We’ve raised over $7,000 for our new program, Smart Snack, empowering kids to be healthy, not hungry, but we still need your help!
Bridges to Hope supports the community through an education outreach program called “Bag To School”. In 2017, the Bag To School program supplied 600 students in grades K-12 and with quality curriculum based school supplies, all packaged in a book bag and ready for school.
The Bag to School program registration will be open from Monday, July 9th until Monday, July 16th. Registration hours are 9:30 am-3:00 pm daily at Bridges' main office.
Over 200 of our monthly clients in need of food aid assistance are school aged children. The Smart Snack Program provides these children with healthy essential food items that they would otherwise not have access to.
Originally starting with an amazing partnership with the Million Dollar Bus Project, we launched a city wide campaign to kick off this program.
We are now fundraising $13,500 with the goal to keep the Smart Snack Program running for the rest of the year.
Due to an increase in demand for our services and Bridges to Hope’s commitment to food security for our friends and neighbours, we are embarking on a significant fundraising campaign. By becoming an Ambassador to Bridges to Hope, you will commit to a monthly monetary contribution of your choice that will automatically be charged to your credit card and you will be sent a tax receipt at year end.
Bridges to Hope provides healthy food hampers containing fresh fruit and vegetables, soups, stews, homemade bread, milk and other essential food items to families and individuals in our community. In 2016 Bridges to Hope served 9,200 people. You can help us, help others, by donating money to Bridges for the purchase of food, or organizing a food drive and collecting essential food items.
