Bridges To Hope is committed to reducing the effects of poverty on individuals and families in our community. Our programming offers help to those who for a variety of circumstances need a hand up - to move forward in life.
Our programs include a Community Kitchen (a learning classroom) which serves youth, young adults, adults and seniors from many walks of life. A Food Pantry which last year (2013) provided 10,000 food hampers to persons needing assistance. A Christmas Hamper program in partnership with the St. John's Rotary Club. Our Education Program includes a Bag to School campaign which provides school bags and supplies to elementary, junior, high school and post-secondary students. Our Passion for School Projects campaign provides school project supplies for science fairs, heritage fairs and school assignments.
Bridges To Hope is operated by a 15 member volunteer Board of Directors and supported by a professional staff of four along with over 40 volunteers.
